Fun Things to Include in Your Wedding Ceremony

Surprise Ring Bearer

I will hide the rings under an unsuspecting guest's chair, and when we come to the ring exchange, I will invite them all to look under their chair for the rings. Whoever has them must come to the front and present the rings to you!

Bingo Card

Instead of numbers, guests are given bingo cards with moments to look out for, like happy tears, a shared laugh, a mention of how you met, or “you may now kiss.” As the ceremony unfolds, guests quietly tick off the moments as they happen.

Pet Involvement

Have your dog run up the aisle with the rings of have them present whilst you sign the wedding certificate!

Audience Vows

Guests promise to support you in your marriage. "We Do!"

Rock Paper Scissors

Who will go first with saying their vows? Let 'Rock Paper Scissors' decide!

Take a Shot

One gets a shot glass of water and the other gets vodka... who can keep a straight face? The loser speaks their vows first.

Take a seat with a glass of something fizzy and listen to me entertain your guests with funny and special memories from your relationship.

First Drink

Your first toast as a married couple with your guests. Drinks can be handed out when they arrive.

Flower Person

It doesn't have to be a little girl. Why not give the honour to your grandma or someone with a good sense of humour who will make light of it?

Mini Speech

You don't have to save all of the speeches till the wedding breakfast. See if a friend or family member would like to say a few words. It could be some light-hearted wedding advice or a funny story of you together.

Because with a celebrant-led ceremony, there are no rules! As well as having romantic, heartfelt, and emotional moments, I can weave a bit of light into it too.
